Nichols House founder, Rose Nichols, makes an appearance in the novel, Molasses Murder in a Nutshell by Frances McNamara. So, we’re hosting a book talk and signing in Rose’s parlor!

The mystery novel is centered around a murder discovered just as the molasses tank burst in the North End on January 1919. Rose Nichols and Frances Glessner Lee, the real-life woman behind McNamara’s main character, were contemporaries and much of the book takes place here on Beacon Hill where Lee also lived for a period of time.

Enjoy a Q&A with the author and small reception plus grab your signed copy of the book at this unique event. Participants also have the option to briefly tour other period rooms of the Museum.

Participants have the option to purchase the book in advance. Books can be picked up at the Nichols House during Museum hours or at the event.
