Lecture – "Colonial Embroideries of Boston"
Pam Parmal, David and Roberta Logie Curator of Textile and Fashions Arts, at the Museum of Fine Arts.

This talk will explore how English embroidery traditions influenced those of New England and how they evolved during the colonial period. Also addressed will be the role of needlework in women's lives, both as artistic expression and as a way of earning income for the household.
